THE EVENT BRIEF

Commissioned by Smart Link Events, Media Lab was entrusted with crafting a digital photo and video activation for Mend's exhibition stand at the Open Source Summit in the Convention Centre Dublin. The objective was to captivate trade show delegates, drive traffic to the Mend stand, distribute mend merchandise, create sharable digital content and gather GDPR-compliant data.

THE EVENT EXPEREINCE

Collaborating closely with Smart Link Events and Mend, the Media Lab team orchestrated a fully branded digital experience. This trade show marketing activation not only granted the brand instant onsite visibility but also enticed delegates to explore the stand and engage deeply with the brand.


Delegates were engaged with a dedicated brand ambassador and had the opportunity to craft exclusive branded photos and videos, embellish them with branded AI props, and participate in giveaways for a chance to win Mend Merchandise and a drone at the event. Sharing these experiences on social media bolstered online presence and fostered positive PR for Mend.

THE RESULTS

The Mend Digital Booth at the Open Source Summit in Dublin attracted over 300 event delegates who relished the experience.

A total of 210 branded videos and images were crafted during the event.

All available Mend merchandise was distributed, with 178 delegates winning prizes through the digital experience.

More than 500 Mend AI props embellished media creations.

177 unique email addresses were captured for future marketing engagement.

The event gallery facilitated immediate access and download of creations for all attendees during the tradeshow.

Delegates enthusiastically shared their digital content creations via email, text, and social media platforms.

The campaign resonated with over 60,000 people, amplifying Mend's reach and impact.

THE CONCEPT

BRANDING

The Media Lab team created a tailored, branded photo and video marketing activation for the trade show at the Open Source Summit in Dublin. This immersive setup included a fully branded booth, hosting a brand video, animated start screen, branded media overlays, branded spin to win and custom branded event gallery. This captivated delegates with the brand, furnishing them with personalised branded photos and videos and prizes throughout the duration of the event.

SETUP

Media Lab collaborated with Smart Link Events, and Mend to ensure that the trade show marketing activation adhered to all brand guidelines and health and safety protocols within the Convention Centre Dublin.


The team set up a fully branded video kiosk on the Mend exhibition space to welcome delegates at the summit. Controlled the prize inventory and supplied a brand ambassador to manage the activation throughout the event.

ONLINE SHARING

Professional brand representatives guided delegates through the marketing experience, encouraging them to share their content creations on social media for entry into giveaways. Utilising instant sharing options via text and email, GDPR-compliant data was captured, allowing instant access to media creations and seamless sharing on social media platforms on the spot.

CUSTOM GALLERY

The custom microsite and branded event photo gallery encouraged delegates to promptly view and share their content on their smartphones and social media profiles throughout the event.


During and after the event, guests had access to browse and download the showcased content on a personalised microsite. Within 24 hours post-event, the client received a thorough event report containing all the content for their marketing initiatives.
